Durgapur : Durgapur Chapter with utmost respect and gratitude to honour the mothers of people with haemophilia. The aim of the program was to recognize the struggle, sacrifice and mental challenges that these mothers face while supporting children with hemophilia.The program was graced by distinguished guests including Mrs. Susmita Roy, Executive Director (HR), SAIL-Durgapur Steel Plant, Durgapur,Mrs. Anindita Mukherjee, Chairperson, Durgapur Municipal Corporation

On this special occasion, five mothers of persons with hemophilia of Durgapur Chapter were felicitated for their tireless efforts, patience, dedication and unconditional love. Each mother was presented with Rs.1000 and a memento as a token of appreciation and respect. Their stories of strength and determination deeply inspired everyone present at the event.Mrs. Susmita Roy expressed heartfelt appreciation for these mothers, acknowledging that their mental strength and dedication play a vital role in the well-being, confidence and overall development of a person with hemophilia. She also expressed their gratitude to all women, especially mothers, who silently shoulder many responsibilities while nurturing and protecting their families.

Mrs. Anindita Mukherjee thanked the Durgapur Chapter for the unique initiative to felicitate the mothers of hemophilia sufferers. She expressed her gratitude to all the mothers for their struggle, dedication and continuous support for their children. She also promised to stand with all the mothers and extend every possible support to them.Mrs. Kalyani Bhandari, Convenor of the Women’s Group of the chapter, thanked all the mothers who continuously support their children through moral support, hospital visits, and daily care. She also emphasized the importance of community support, awareness, and compassion for families dealing with bleeding disorders.

Shri Ajoy Roy, Secretary of the chapter, mentioned that this is perhaps the first time in the hemophilia community across the country that mothers of persons with hemophilia have been honoured specifically for their services and dedication. He added that the resilience and courage of these mothers deserve recognition not only on International Women’s Day but throughout the year.
