Asansol, 20 November 2025: As part of its continuous efforts to improve passenger amenities and provide safer, well-illuminated station environments, Asansol Division has commissioned new energy-efficient LED lighting systems at Mankar and Paraj stations. At Mankar Station, a total of 22 octagonal poles (5.5 metres) with double-arm brackets fitted with 72-watt LED lights have been installed across Platform Nos. 1/2 and 3/4. These include 12 poles on PF 1/2 and 10 poles on PF 3/4, significantly improving visibility in circulating areas, passenger movement zones, and waiting areas. These lights ensure uniform illumination, aiding safety and enhancing the overall passenger experience during early morning and late evening hours.

Similarly, at Paraj Station, 18 octagonal poles with double-arm 72-watt LED fittings have been commissioned across Platform Nos. 1/2 and 3/4. The upgraded lighting system will provide better clarity for passengers using the foot overbridge, platforms, and seating areas, while also supporting smooth operational functioning during train arrivals and departures. The use of modern LED fittings ensures reduced energy consumption and improved illumination quality, contributing to a cleaner and more passenger-friendly station ambience.

With these installations, Asansol Division reiterates its commitment towards strengthening passenger convenience through modern infrastructure, enhanced safety measures, and improved station facilities across the division.
