WEEK-LONG HOME VISIT PROGRAMME

Reaching Families • Sharing Hope • Strengthening Care

Hemophilia Society–Durgapur Chapter conducted a week-long home-visit programme to meet eight persons with severe hemophilia and their families living in remote areas of West Bengal.

The visits aimed to understand the day-to-day challenges & difficulties faced by families in managing a child with hemophilia, including treatment, regular care, education, mobility, financial difficulties and access to medical services.

The families openly shared their personal experiences and the practical difficulties they face in ensuring proper care, treatment and support for their children, including mental agony, social stigma, lack of awareness and discrimination from neighbours and the surrounding community.

Shri Ajoy Roy, Secretary, Hemophilia Society–Durgapur Chapter, said, we firmly believe that home visits play an important role in strengthening the bond between the Chapter and affected families. Personal interaction, compassion, encouragement and timely support can make a significant difference in the lives of persons with hemophilia and their families.

With love, encouragement, comprehensive care and continuous support, children with hemophilia can look forward to a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life—free from unnecessary pain and permanent disability.

The Chapter remains committed to standing beside persons with hemophilia and their families and extending all possible support whenever needed.

Together We Care • Together We Support • Together We Give Hope
